Businesses or individuals that intend to burn unwanted yard waste and land clearing are required to obtain a Burn Permit prior to conducting any burns. Business permit cost is $50. No fee for residents/homeowners.
Businesses or individuals that intend to use either type of pesticide within the jurisdiction of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe are required to register through the Tribe’s Compliance Department for a one (1) year permit at a cost of $120 (U.S.). Restricted Use Pesticide Applicators are also required to possess a federal certificate from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Tribal department or agencies, private enterprise hauler or any other persons are required to obtain a permit from the Environment Division to construct or operate a management facility. Any permittee shall be required to comply with the Code, any rule or regulation promulgated thereunder all Tribal Environmental standards and criteria, all relevant guidance document, all permit conditions, all orders issued by the Environment Division under authority of this Code and all applicable Tribal law.
Tribal department or agencies, private enterprise hauler or any other persons are required to obtain a permit from the Environment Division to collect and/or transport solid waste. Hauler Permit application fee is $100 which includes the first vehicle, an additional $25 is charged for each additional vehicle.
