Solid Waste Construction Permit

The following information items must be submitted as part of the application, documents may be uploaded on this site after submitting your application.  Please explain if they are not applicable. We may also require that you bring in physical copies of some documents. 
 
NOTE: For facilities that have been satisfactorily constructed in accordance with their construction permit, the information required does not have to be resubmitted for an operation permit if the information has not changed during the construction period.
 
1. Facility Performance and Design Standards
 
NOTE: All maps, plan sheets, drawings, or aerial photographs shall be legible; be signed and sealed by the registered professional engineer responsible for their preparation; be of appropriate scale to show clearly all required details; be numbered, referenced to
narrative, titled, have a legend of symbols used, contain horizontal and vertical scales (where applicable), and specify drafting or origination dates; and use uniform scales as much as possible, contain a north arrow, and use NGVD for all elevations.
 
Unless otherwise specified in this Code, the plans and drawings for all solid waste
management facilities must be submitted using the following format:
(1) the sheet size with title blocks must be 32 by 34 inches or 24 by 26 inches;
(2) the cover sheet must include the project title, applicant's name, sheet index,
legend of symbols, and the engineer's name, address, signature, date of
signature and seal;
(3) the plans relating to the project to its environmental setting must include a regional plan or map (having a minimum scale of 1:62,500)
b. a vicinity plan or map (having a minimum scale of 1:24,000)· and
c. an overall site plan (having a minimum scale of 1:2,400 with a five feet minimum contour interval);
(4) site plan must contain the location of all property boundaries certified by an
individual licensed to practice land surveying in the State of New York;
(5) the engineering reports for all solid waste management facilities must:
a. contain a cover sheet stating the project title and location, applicant's name, and the engineer's name, address , signature, date of signature and seal;
i. have its text printed on 8-1/2 x 11 inch pages (paginated consecutively)·
ii.. contain a table of content or index describing the body of the report and the appendices;
iii . include a body of report; and
iv. include all appendices.
 
a. A map or aerial photograph of the area, no more than 1 year old, unless not substantially changed for older map or photograph, showing land use and zoning within 1 mile of the facility.
b. Site Plan
Note: The site plan shall be on a scale not greater than 200 feet to the inch showing the following:
(1) Dimensions of the site
(2) Plan for receiving, procession, production, curing (if any) and storage areas
(3) Fencing or other measures to restrict access
c. Topographic Maps - NOTE: The topographic maps, which may be combined with the plot plan.

The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Council is the duly elected and recognized government of the Mohawk people. Both New York State and the United States deal exclusively with the Tribal Council Chiefs in a government-to-government relationship.
